I spent 4 years in Kuwait supporting the troops in Camp Victory, Camp Arifjan and met enlisted men and women from all walks of life. I must say they were the finest bunch of well trained and disciplined soldiers I have encountered anywhere. During those years I worked in Zone 6 in Arifjan promoting our. Because of the thousands of personnel I met, some became very good friends and some I would like to hear from again.

I wish all those who I've met the very best in life and hopefully we will meet again.

Welcome to Army Forums.com! We'd like to hear some of your stories. No ads please but you can tell us about Military Rings Online.

I never quite made it into Kuwait but close enough to the border to see it, lol. Exciting times although I spent most of my time in a G3 command track running commo. Even talked to GEN Schwartzkopf. What a job for an Airborne Infantryman but that's where I was needed, lol.

Hi MSG Glenn,
Thanks for your message and your guidance. I worked in Kuwait from 2004 to 2008 on all the bases, Camp Doha, Camp Victory, Cam Virginia and Camp Arifjan and during that period we would fly up to Camp Anaconda in Ballad. It was nerve racking at first as it was my first time on those propeller planes.

I was fortunate enough to be able to live off base in a place called Salwa, Kuwait and experience the culture and life and a Middle East Country.

I worked for Military Rings Online promoting the deployment rings for the campaigns Operation Iraqi Freedom & Operation Enduring Freedom.
During that time I met some wonderful soldiers both men and women, and as a civilian the experience gave me a different perspective on life and a huge amount of respect for all enlisted and retired personnel.

Best Wishes & Thanks To All Who Serve And Support.

Good job, Daniel! And thank you for the service you offer to our troops. I don't think my son ever made it to Kuwait either. He was an Army Ranger & spent 4 of his 5 deployments in Iraq & although they were short deployments they were usually involved in combat operations shortly after they deplaned in country until shortly before they climbed back on to come back home.

I in-processed/out-processed and passed through Kuwait on a couple of occasions while going on R&R for Iraq and Afghanistan. I loved the McDonalds at Ali Al Saleem. I brought an Iraq ring when I was in Afghanistan.

Again, this forum's policy does not want posters to post ads or advertise their business and we have had tons of spammers in the past.

Well McDonalds may have been good, but I always thought the food served in the dining facilities on any of the bases was superb. One of my favorites was Camp Buehring way out in the desert.
Thank the good Lord I can eat in my own home again.

I'm listening to Radio Kuwait right now on the shortwave. Not for long, though. Dude is singing the Qur'an. Sounds painful. I think a few guitars & a banjo accompaniment would be in order, lol. They probably have English language programming 5 minutes a day if that. It happens to be the strongest signal on the band at this time.
