I'm afraid it is impossible to copy content from a site which has none. Thank you for your question.

There are no games on the site, only links to a different website with games. So if I post a link on here to deleted link, will this site be banned as well? lol man, sometimes the Army security protocols crack me up.

Army security protocols?

Its an application level proxy. Nothing do with ports. Just URls. It goes by the words listed on the website.

Firewalls deal with ports and protocols. And that deals with the transport layer.

I understand the OSI model. I used the word protocols as in SOP's or guidelines. We're cool warrant, sometimes I dig too deep into things too.

Roger that. Have you guys migrated to Vista yet and are you using the latest AGM? My issue I constantly get are approve-IT digital signing errors. That famous null pointer error. Sometimes registry key delete and hacks just doesnt cut it and I hate just creating a new user profile.

Any experience with that?

Yes we have migrated to Vista. Last December, I believe, was 82nd's cutoff to be migrated.

Look out for Lsass.exe errors, usually embedded in the start-up, and will freeze the users computer. The manual account reset tip is the fix for that one.

I would get users that had mysteriously lost the ability to digitally sign documents. Literally the day before could sign an ncoer and the next day not. Come to find out, G6 was pushing down updates and it was accidentally removing the approve-it software all together. Simply reinstalling it would fix it. Just make sure you look for it in the start menu, before trying something else.

In some cases, bad batches of AGM discs were created and the software would come up with errors (usually in PureEdge when a document was e-mailed from one person to another). Uninstalling PureEdge, Approve-It or both, and installing an earlier version usually fixed that.

By the way, I renamed the page where those game links are kept... from boredom games to bored? Do you think this will make any difference with the page being blocked? Thanks a million.

Good stuff. Yes the TNOSC is always pushing GPOs that affects our software from working. Also, HBSS has been a big issue as of late.

I tried that fixes that you mentioned and had to put certain dlls (Libeay32.dll and certain *.ifx files) in specific directories to no avail.

We are still running XP and are lifecycling machines but I would have preferred if the Army would have just waited on Windows 7.

Why in the world did the Army upgrade from XP to Vista?

Primarily security concerns, and secondarily the features available in the latest Office suite.

Not sure Vista and security should be mentioned in the same thread. :)

Or at least upgrading to Vista for security reasons ;) AFAIK XP was much more stable then Vista and by the time Vista became semi-stable 7 was already out.

I know that the last post on this was 1 APR but I tried to go to the link and came up empty. If anyone has some of the content that was on that website please PM me. Thank you.

Looks like someone did not pay its bill and the website is no longer being hosted. It happens. Just stick with sites like www.militarycac.com (http://www.militarycac.com) and I will find others and post it here. Also, if you go to the landwarnet website via the Gordon portal, you get some good info and links for your toolkit.

Thanks for the links to other sites. They definitely will help.
