Wazzup all,

I am one member here that is fascinated on a particular awesome and fearsome machine gun. In having such a interests, I have compiled a video. I am pretty sure we all have this type of trigger finger in us for such a weapon. Some cities/states allow civilians to own class III weapons and some states do not. I am one of those states that do not allow us to own class III weapons. I would give my one months salary to handle and fire one of these babies. For all U.S. Armed Services Personal who have been issued or had a chance to fire the M240 Machine Gun of any variants, I have to say........."YOU LUCKY BUGGERS!!!!" This video is dedicated to all of you.

The M240 is a solid weapon, much more reliable than the M60 it replaced. And yes, it's fun to shoot :D.

If you get the chance, come out to one of the machine gun shoots held across the country - the best known is probably the Knob Creek shoot in Kentucky, or the 'Big Sandy' Machine gun shoot in Arizona, or the Texas Machine Gun shoot - or even the annual SHOT show. You'll get to see just about everything that civilians can legally own (and quite a lot from Law Enforcement and Class 3 Manufacturers that we in our roles as civilians cannot).

However, and as much as I'd like a full-auto weapon of my own, these are just toys for civilians - other than as collectibles or for fun or competition, there is really no way to justify the expense that it would take for me to own one. My civilian M4 cost me $800-, but the same rifle with a 3-shot burst or FA would be $10,000.
