I think it's still the M9. I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure. That or the 1911.

the reason I'm asking is that i heard the Army has a new contract for the Beretta 92FS and also my brother in-law told me that some officers use Glocks is this true ? and sorry for the typo lol

In my unit it's still the M9. Just went to the range a couple weeks ago. Hitting the 249 range this month!
The M9 is the 'standard issue' sidearm - it's civilian equivalent is the Beretta 92F. A number of other sidearms are used for special applications - the M11 (Sig Sauer P226) is carried concealed by CID agents and MP Investigators. The Mk 23 .45 caliber pistol is used by Special Forces and other, similar units. And SF operators use a very wide array of handguns depending on their mission.
