When I get stationed back in the states, I will most definitely get one myself.
Been using some crappy samsung for the time being.

nah too expensive for me.. theres extra charges and fees for like everything special that an iPhone has.. ill stick to my basic Motorola phone and use a computer for everything else![]()
make sure whereever you are going gets service, at&t is known for horrible service. imo
Wars of nations are fought to change maps. But wars of poverty are fought to map change- Ali
yea they are pretty bad.. i switched to Verizon a few years ago and have had very few problems with service or the phones in general
I have the iPhone 3GS and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Yes in some spots it has worse service then Verizon but I also get service in spots that before when I was with Verizon I didn't get so it pretty much balances out.
My bill is about $85 a month - including unlimited texting, data, and I believe 450 minutes with unlimited mobile to mobile.
The internet browser and mail system is very nice to have.
Also the iPod built in is amazing - now I don't have to carry both items around - I just need the one. I can listen to music and watch movies whenever I have some down time with nothing else to do.
Plus of course I have the www.army.mil application where I can get the updated news from the Army sooo easy.
Yup got an Iphone too and the army.mil app too...among many others...I have iheartradio and listen to a radio station from arizona that when I was there I couldnt really listen too b/c of the mountains...
I also have an Iphone, I had TMobile for years while in Birmingham, when I left recruiting and went to Fort Drum I couldnt get reception on Fort Drum, bought a set of 15 mile 2 ways for the wife and I to communicate and switched to ATT. I have had no problems with ATT or my Iphone.

My kids both want them and they're up for upgrades. They're just trying to decide whether to stay on my plan or change over to their own. It's $30-40 extra a month for the data plan not including other apps you add on. Seems like a lot of money to me, especially since we have inlimited data plans for $10/month with our other phones.
Those of you that have them - do you find yourself using them more often then other phones you've had.
I use my phone constantly but that's just me. I like having my mail and Internet whenever I need them. Oh and having my iPod on me at the same time as my phone has come in handy quite a bit. But of course I had a friend who had the same phone but barely used the extra features the phone comes with, so it all depends on the person.
