Default re-enlisting with change of mos

    Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone on here can give me some insight into re-enlisting with a change of mos. I am currently an SPC 88m 22 mo TIS which is currently neutral. My window opens up in February for re-enlistment, I have read a milper that states that I can switch my MOS to one that is understrength. However, the impression I am getting from my Co. Retention NCO is that I can only re-enlist to certain application MOS. I am trying to gather as much information as possible so that when the time comes I am as informed as possible. Thank you in advance for any answers.
