Hey this guy at my work says he was Airborne. I saw his DD214 and it doesn't say anything on there about it. I don't want to call him a liar, but can anyone tell me if it is suppose to say something on there?

If he's claiming he went to airborne school look in block 13 (decorations,Medals,Badges ect.) and look for "Parachutist Badge"
Also you can find out what base he seperated (block 8b) from and jump on wikipedia.org to see if it matches with the unit he claimed to be in.
Metalkins, it is meanwhile common knowledge that there are an awful lot of 'heroes' running around in the USA that are imposters. The DD Form 214 can be easily copied and with white out made into a hero dream sheet. It is estimated that over 75% of the so called 'Vietnam Vets' are fake. Most of the time they are bums who hide their failure behind a claimed 'post traumatic combat syndrome from Vietnam', by wearing Army jackets and medals they bought at a pawn shop. Because it is 'in' among US men right right now to be a Veteran, there are many who come up with the wildest stories. Recently I met a guy who told me that he was shot down over China during the Vietnam War, which is a total hoax. He didn't know that I was a Vietnam Vet myself.
