Thread: Reenlistment Help Please

I have a son who finished BCT AND AIT but failed his pt test by 20 seconds. After exodus he and a group of others were asked back to retake the pt test and were told they had 3 wks to pass but after one wk the commander said enough and is sending them home! Hes getting a chapter 11 entry level separation. Will he be able to reenlist? He has passed everything with flying colors and was 20 seconds off the run!! This is very frustrating for all of us of course, especially since we feel the armys training program did not train these kids well enough, the kids who started Basic fat ended the program fat! What happened to running everyday in Basic?! Sorry to vent but I am a concerned mom! In spite of everything he wants to reenlist and was told the wait is 6 months. Is that correct? I'd appreciate any feedback. p.s. he was not overweight, just a poor runner. I used the overweight kids as an example of not enough pt
