Your recruiter didn't give you a packing list? Go through that pile of paperwork you got at MEPS with your contract - it's in there somewhere. If you can't find it, ask your recruiter for a copy. Or you could have Googled 'Benning Basic Packing List' and found this link on the Ft. Benning website - https://www.benning.army.mil/infantr...ing/30thAG.asp

There you can download the packing list, what documents to bring, see your schedule for the fitst 4 full days at reception, and get some info about what to expect. Good luck, young 'un!

For others who may be reading this thread, you can access the 'What to wear and bring' list directly here - https://www.benning.army.mil/infantr...Buy%20List.pdf

Probably getting up at zero dark 30 unless you're used to those early hours. I STILL get up at 0530 at the latest but then again I'm usually in the sack by 2200-2230 each night. Not a bad habit to get into before shipping to BCT.

Thats the first thing my recruiter told me to get used to. The sleeping hours. Im out at 10 and up at 5. Quick breakfast and start some form of PT. (Push ups, sit ups, whatever can be done indoors). Take a shower, then off to school.

To be quite honest, Im sorta jealous of you ArmyStrong. Lol. I dont leave until JULY. LATE JULY at that. Have fun, and "Remember, you will fight as you train!"

Its not about the money, the health care, or the travel. Its about my country being free, and i'd sleep better at night knowing I'm part of those doing something to keep it that way.

Patriot is the same. 11X. I need to get into the early hours routine, seriously. Like 80 something days until I ship. I was never a morning person..I hit snooze, wait for it, hit snooze, wait for it, until about 20 minutes go by. Then I get up. lol
