One last and random Question....can u get QMP in WTU? Thanks and I promise that it's =)
I don't know. QMP is just a board that pulls specific SM packets. I doubt your current assignment or situation will have any bearing plus you will be well notified in advanced.
Question: If my NCOER's have been exceptional (minus one in 2007-2008 rating time which was 2/2, and my most recent 2010-2011) would that constitute an QMP? I'm nearing 13 years in, never been deployed, no ART-15's, and one negative 1059 from 7 years ago (went back to the same course two years later and did awesome on it, but the admin board to make changes wouldn't remove it when I asked).
So, I'm getting reviewed for a 2012 NCOER from my 1SG that wasn't even in my rating chain, and gave me a 5/5 for a failed APFT that I shouldn't have even taken cause I was on recovery from a hospitalization. Since that review I have moved units and my NCOERs since have been 2/2 or better with atleast two ex blocks. What do you think my chances of getting cut are? I hear they are just cutting people to cut down on paying retirement.
Your guess is as good as mine, SFC. I guess I was fortunate during my career that the RIF wasn't as deep as it is now. At least it wasn't so bad that most had to worry about it.
Use your chain of command & ask if anything can be done about that bad NCOER. Give them documentation that you were in the hospital & probably on a profile when you took the APFT. That's illegal. I know if I was still a 1SG I'd move heaven & earth to right that wrong if it came to my attention. I know there was a time that a bad NCOER was thrown out if all the rest were good. I'd never rate a Soldier low for a bad APFT if they had a physical problem. That's what resheduling the test is all about.
How close are you to your 20?
