    Default Update

Hubby graduated AIT (honor grad!) on 4/25 He is home right now but he heads out next week to Fort Campbell! Can't wait for the kids to finish up school so we can join him. After much considerarion we decided to purchase a home because the rentals in the area were outrageous. We close the second week of June!

Today the sun is shining (finally!!) and I have a surprise party planned for him so he can see all his family and friends before he leaves. Hope everyone is having a great weekend

Sounds awesome! Fort Campbell was my first duty station and where I met my husband, we loved it there!

Good stuff. I did the same thing when I was at Campbell back in the mid 2000s. I went first and my family met me two months later. I ended up closing on a nice home (I was the second owner) in Clarksville right behind the movie theater on Tiny Town Road. With house prices at good bargains; its best that you use your VA loan to get a home.

I end up selling it when I got stationed to Germany and made 12K after just having the home for three years. I will always say that its better to own than rent.

Now I am searching for a new home for my next assignment lol. But I just purchased a new 2012 Beamer so I cant go too crazy. Just get something in my range that my BAH will cover lol. I cannot wait to get back stateside and to enjoy the summer.

The party was a success, he was totally surprised and loved getting a chance to see everyone before he left

That's what we did, used the VA loan. Found a cute little house off Peachers Mill, now I can't wait to get down there! The movers will be here in 14 days

2012 Beamer..Nice!! Where are you heading for your next assignment? Somewhere with nice roads to enjoy it I hope

Nice! I'm originally from very close to Clarksville! I love it there. I'm not sure where you're from, but life is generally slow-paced there (well, civillian life, anyway- lol!) Congrats on the house, too! I hope your move goes slowly!
