Exclamation Do you know any lesbians that want to tell their dadt story?

I work for a lesbian media outlet and we would like to share the story of any lesbian discharged or persecuted under the don't ask don't tell policy. If you or anyone you know would be interested in an interview please contact me at samcookefan31@hotmail.com or feel free to respond here.

    Default word choice

    MPclk2006

to be specific I do mean if legal action was taken against someone who is a homosexual woman. Perhaps persecution was a bad word choice, thank you for pointing it out, words are very important.

OH man, i can see a lot more of these questions in the future if they implement the option to "openly serve". you can probably find a lot more responses to this question on yahoo answers>politics and government>military. good look finding the info you need, hopefully you don't intend to show only the part of the story that would run the military through the mud.

out of curiosity, what is the purpose of your interview?

    hi daddytattooed!

To satisfy your curiosity, i think it would depend on the woman who we interviewed. I try not to go into interviews with an angle because it should be about the person I'm interviewing not me and my opinions.

I'm not out to drag the military through the mud. I have a cousin who serves currently and my grandfather served in Korea, you could say my family has some military tradition. In fact I would think a potential interview-ee wouldn't nessesarily blame the millitary because it's mostly a political issue.

From my own experiences talking to both politicians and service members the biggest problem with DADT is the problem of ripping a fully trained soldier out of their unit, witch hurts the unit and waste resources. Again I would try to keep my opinions from taking over the article but I obviously don't support the policy.

I will try the yahoo answers approach, thank you for your suggestion!

well if you can't find assistance you might be able to reach out to some that "openly serve" inother countries currently to get a feel for what they've delt with and what positive effects its had and if they have out weighed the hardships. i myselft might be interested in that arrtile since i've heard there are plans to implament that same policy in the US and my wife is close freinds with a few gays and lesbians that keep arguing it would be a simple change though none of them have any military background or a desire to serve.
