Default Active Standby Reserves/IRR deployment question

    Hi guys.

Long story short: Formerly AD Army, ETS'ed honorably after a three year contract, was IRR for another three, when I got orders for deployment. Went to inprocessing, and got temp medical disqualified. Sat around base for awhile, went home.

I tried to properly join the Reserves, but couldn't because I showed up in the system as still being under orders, and couldn't get through anyone who could help HRC-wise. Gave up after awhile.

Now I have orders stating I'm being transferred from the USAR control group to the Standby Reserves Active List. I understand what the Standby Reserves are, just not what that means in terms of likelihood of deployment.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    have 8 years elapsed?

listen dont sweat it. they getting rid of stop-loss and reducing forces in Iraq. No need to be afraid of deployment. Your 8 year obligation should be up. Us soldiers here got it lol

I have a husband who was transfered to USAR Control Standby Reserves according to his paper work will there be a roster of who was in that group when he was supposed to be in it? when the paperwork says he was in it he was actually in Korea in a Black Ops unit by the way.

I'm sorry. I really have no idea. As a suggestion I'd call an Army facility - Recruiting office, Reserve Center, anything. I'm sure they won't know but they'll have a list of phone numbers that you could try to get another number & so on. It might be a good idea to have your husband make that last contact (the one where someone knows the answer, lol) because there might be some questions he'll have to answer.
