Good pics and clips folks.. after my relatively brief and enlightening spell in Air Defense, I shall leave those big boy guns to ye!!.. respect to those whom dig the arty and tanking but not my cup of tea....

Infantrymen call tanks 'steel coffins' - which is what they are sure they would be if they ever had the misfortune to be so assigned....

Those things with the rods are called aft caps. They're the base of the tank rounds and it's what gets ejected inside the turret when you fire a round.
TANKER - That dusty, crusty, grease-covered, dirty, sweaty, bright-eyed, fuzzie-faced,
    haircut-needing, beer-drinking, underrated, over-worked, underpaid,
oversexed, little shit, who can take a tank and do more battlefield damage in
ten minutes than a Grunt squad can do all day.

If you ain't Armor, you ain't shit.

I think the M1s are a beautiful piece of equipment. Tell you want, when you are pinned down there is nothing better than seeing that M1 or M2 rollin in to provide cover.

I wanna be in the cavalry if they send me off to war. I want a good steed under me like my forefathers before.
