Our Commandant of the NCOA said ALC stands for Army Landscapping Course b/c we would seriously have to stop doing graduation requirement classes to go outside and rake leaves, spread mulch, etc...at least next time im there ill be doing the inside details like mopping, sweeping, and cleaning latrines...lol

WOCS and a little bit at WOBC. We had the BNCOC guys swab the hallways most of the time. I never saw CW3s at the Advance Course doing details nor will you see Field Grade Warrants do any as well.

    BTW, I am company-grade.

Yeah, I meant Company grade-commissioned officers - 2LTs, 1LTs, and CPTs. I only saw WO1s and CW2s doing it. (All over at the Cyber War College).

Thanks for all the 'tough love' guys. I've decided my dream of being in the Guard and serving this country was bigger than my dream of being a medic. I'm now going through the process to gather materials for my Top Secret clearance for 12Y....apparently my ASVAB was high enough to qualify me for this, which I initially looked into before taking the test but figured "there is no way in hell I'll get that". Well here I am. First things first though, I need to pass my physical at MEPS and some extended eye exam associated with this MOS. Since I'll be assigned to a BSB I'm sure I'll be doing lots of floor sweeping, truck cleaning and other fun things just to make you guys happy!
