    Default shoulder problem....help!

hey, my friend joined the army and she has her physical tomorrow. The only problem is she has bad shoulder problems. For example her bones feel like they are grinding together when she moves them, she lifted a barbell the other day to do shoulder excerses, but couldnt finish because she was in pain. She is a really tough girl and tends to push herself way past the limit. I know shes not going to let them know she has problems. Can they find out through the physical that she does and not let her in? I really dont want her going and getting seriously hurt so I'm kind of hoping they will

At the MEPS physical she will do some flexibility exercises but I dont think the females do the military press. How old is she by the way? If its a muscle sprain, she should just ice it down. sounds like she pulled something. they should assess the extent of the injury and if it will delay anything in her processing.

shes 20. She actually passed it and didnt say anything which is not good. She keeps telling me its fine and if she thought it was bad she wouldnt be doing. But I think all the feelings of excitedness and how her family is so proud of her is blinding her from her safety. Also i went back and looked at that medical pre screening paper she filled out and i remember her saying that she put no for all of them which was definitely a lie. THen she just told me that her recruiter told her to do that! Anyway I dont know what else to do or say to her because she just thinks that whatever i say to her is trying to get her to back out when all i care about is that she doesnt get seriously hurt or in trouble

Well she won't get into trouble...there's no medical proof that she has had this injury. I picture this...gets to her unit if she gets through basic...jumps on a profile...becomes a burden on her NCO's since she cant do required tasks and just hangs out while fellow soldiers meet the standard. Eventually she'll get chaptered out on a medical discharge. So the Army just wasted ALOT of money and time on someone who felt they didnt need to be in good physical condition. Welcome to the new Army.
