Failed MEPS hearing test twice, now don't qualify.
Yesterday my recruiter took me to MEPS (EL Segundo, CA) to enlist. I took the ASVAB and scored 81 which is good enough for my reserved job as a Signal Intelligence Analyst (35N).
I got on a hotel shuttle to spend the night at the Radisson hotel. Woke up at 3:00 A.M. and headed back to MEPS at 4:00 for a full medical. Everything was going good until I took the darn hearing test. I failed miserably (H3). I saw the doctor and he asked me to take it again, so I did. Same result. I was very excited before that because I was supposed to swear in and sign my contract that same day, but the stupid hearing test results deemed me unqualified for military service.
Now my question is: Is there a fair chance that my waiver will get approved or should I just lose hope and begin focusing on an alternative path? I really hope it's the former because I can't see myself anywhere else other than the Army.
I should let you know that my recruiter is new and I'm actually his first recruit. Now I'm scared that his inexperience will severely affect my chances of getting that waiver approved.
