    Default Choosing MOS

    Hi everybody!
I'm not very good in english, but I want to get some help here
I'm going to join US army and I can't decide what MOS to select.

I'm standing on 44C-finance specialist and 42L-administrative specialist

    My questions:
    1. how much points do I need on ASVAB for getting these MOSes?
    2. is it real to get these MOSes for foreigners with poor english?
    3. what is the main real duties for them?
    4. how much time do I need to wait for going Basic Training after sign a contract?

    Thanks in advance

moover, if you are NOT so good in English then why do you want to get into finance or admin. (Adjutant General Specialist)? Those are exactly the MOSs that require very good spoken and written English. It doesn't make any sense. Finance deals with accounting in an office, with computers or perhaps (when you are good) paying real $ from a cage (cashier) to people cashing checks, TDY etc. AG speciallists sit in staffs, orderly rooms, handle files and generally work the administrative duties that are part of any office and must also be good in handling computers. One of the recruiters can answer the rest of your question.

When I choose MOSs I didn't think about English at all. I thought about activities which I could do day to day. I have PhD in economics, so finance work or at least some administrative work will be for me.

Now I'm working on my English. I'd like to make it better, but there is not so much time before joining to the army.

The best thing for you to do is to speak with a recruiter one on one. There are special programs for people who join that do not speak good english.
