    Default Surgeon

I am a sophomore at Rutgers University. I want to obtain my college degree, then go to medical school for 4 years.

    1) can I enter the army out of medical school and train in a field of my choosing such as trauma surgery. Do I first need training in surgery?

    2) Can I do my residency/fellowship with the army?

    3) do I need to go to boot camp. If so what are the physical requirements (what is the 2-mile time)

    4) What is the minimum amount of years I must spend

    5) Will the army pay for my medical school tuition?

    Thanks

You should speak with a AMED Recruiter, there will/ should be one at Rutgers or in the surrounding community.

There are just way to many special programs for surgeons and Dr's and only an up to date AMED Recruiter can assist you.

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate.

    Good luck
