Default How to get promoted before basic

Another good post on the FSC Facebook by DS Frost

WHAT CAN I DO TO GET MORE RANK?

If you are E-1 or E-2 and completed the FSTS on futuresoldiers.com and pass your PT test, you will be promoted to E-2 or E-3. You can go in as an E-3 if you have Eagle Scout and completed the FSTS; have Naval Sea Cadet Corps and complete the FSTS; If you are E-1 or E-2 you can get ONE promotion for referring someone into the Army (YOU CANNOT GET E-4) if you are E-3 complete FSTS and refer someone! You can come in as E-3 through the ACASP Program. The ONLY way you can come in as an E-4 is if you have Bachelors degree. YOU CANNOT COME IN AS AN E-5!!! Rank is something that is earned in the Army; you cannot complete a few simple tasks and come in to the Army as an E-5! That is a leadership position and PLEASE DO NOT think ANY of you Future Soldiers are ready for the rank of E-5! (This is for all non-prior service only!) Any further questions about rank, please refer to your recruiter! He/she will be more than happy to assist you on this!

Yeah Lil Mommie is correct. The Future Soldier Training System is basically some online classes about land navigation, military time, values, and some other task list things. You complete these classes and print out the certificates. You will have to demonstrate a few of these objectives for your recruiter though in order to get the promo. Fighter, are you attending the Future Soldiers thing this Friday? (I'm not sure what it's called or where it is being held at) but my husband was chosen to go with a few other FS from his station to compete against other FS in MI. I guess there are doing a PT test and some other drills from basic.

I am suppose to but I haven't been to any of the little training sessions due to my own training, so I'm not sure anymore. I'll know for sure tomorrow. I'm really not looking forward to the PT test lol.

Oh come on, FNL! You're an athlete & are probably in better shape than 90% of Future Soldiers.

Everyone should be in good enough shape to not dread PT tests as I'm sure you are. At this point you should excell in anything physical.

lol come in as an E-5. Hey, I wrote my essay, so can I be a sergeant now? lol We heard about the marine faker who was given E-5. You are expected to lead soldiers in combat at that level.
