    Lightbulb Any officers in here?

    Just have a solid question.

What method did you commission, and how long did it take?

    Thanks guys!

Same here - time to commission from the date I shipped was 5 months, 1 week. Branch specific training occurs post-commissioning, and is up to the individual branch for scheduling and duration.

I shipped around 3-4 months, then basic and OCS.

Regardless, seems like I may be waiting months just to ship out. On the other hand, if I already completed basic w/ the Air Force, would it be possible to go straight into OCS? I'm prior enlisted myself w/ an honorable discharge.

You have to complete Army basic first.

Wait Xeo Blaze, I was on vacation in Spain: ROTC, 2 Years (normally 4), 2 summer camps at Ft. Lewis, + about 30000 $ in College costs/fees. No, my parents didn't pay them, had to go and work at Boeing. Was EM USAF (SSGT, jet engine mechanic) 4 years prior service, Vietnam Vet. Was admitted to UW, got first 2 years of ROTC waived (Veteran). Graduated with a BA and 2LT US Army DMG (Dist. Mil. Grad.) Received GI Bill and ROTC pay. Lived in a unisex dorm, drove a car (MG), generally had enough money to get by, was on food stamps for 1 month, unemployed 1 day. 2LT pay started right after graduation. From then it was normal.
