    Default Ask the recruiter

This would become a sticky thread for recruiting questions. Might help with searching for a question. We have a couple of recruiters that post on this thread and probably will like to have this utilized.

I have a GED with no college credits, I am a convicted felon, I am 36 years old, I have incurable brain cancer, and I'm also morally opposed to war.

Can I join? If so, can I get a $40,000 bonus?

This is Army 2011. You should've tried Army 2004.
TANKER - That dusty, crusty, grease-covered, dirty, sweaty, bright-eyed, fuzzie-faced,
    haircut-needing, beer-drinking, underrated, over-worked, underpaid,
oversexed, little shit, who can take a tank and do more battlefield damage in
ten minutes than a Grunt squad can do all day.

If you ain't Armor, you ain't shit.

French Foreign Legion may take you if you hide the brain tumor.

how come there is no more loan repayment? and how come you have to be non-prior to get loan repayment from ocs? can you still enlist first and then get loan repayment from OCS?

Alright, so now that I'm almost done and we'll be PCSing soon my husband is ITCHING to get back in. He didn't go in originally because there were no slots for him at the time as a prior service E4. He's been out for 10 years so we know he'll have to repeat BCT. Are there ANY slots open for a prior service E4 now? His RE code is 1 so that's no issue. I'll be stationed at Fort Hood so hopefully it shouldn't be a problem to get stationed together no matter what his MOS. He'd love to do 68X but I know those slots are few and far between. He's looking to go active. Could you give us any advice/availability?

33W- Electronic Warfare and Intercepts Tactical Systems Repairer. It's been reclassed to 35T- and he's been out of the field so long I'm sure he'd have to repeat AIT all over again (his original AIT was 44 weeks at Fort Huachuaca, we're really looking for something with a shorter AIT or a 68 series since he'd only be 2 1/2 hours away at Fort Sam and could come to Fort Hood with me and the kids on the weekends.)
