You're the one that received a waiver for tattoos? The last I heard if a waiver of any kind is required for your enlistment you can't get an Option 4, Option 40 or 18X contract. Better have your Recruiter check on that for you so you don't get your hopes up too high.

Of course you're absolutely right, Angriff. I was no angel as a teenager but times are different now with the recruiting policy about as strict as I ever knew it to be.

Not all consequences are bad or harmful. In his case the consequence of having that tattoo will probably keep him from getting an Option 40 contract. Will he be harmed? No . Will he be deprived of a chance to be a Ranger because of it? Maybe. Probably since he required a waiver to enlist.

If you need a waiver and get in, never stop trying for what you want. Be the best Soldier possible and hopefully things will fall into place. Good luck with your enlistment.
Always work harder today, so you can push harder tomorrow.

I asked he said a waiver never stopped anyone from getting an option 40 contract or getting 18x mos , he said as long as you get the required scores, and and meet the physical requirment you are eligible to recive a slot , If there is on e available of course.
Im sure if it was like a medical waiver then yea You probably wont get an option 40.

Untrue. Waivers have been denied for Option 40s and 18X for quite some time.
