    Default BCT Hearing Test

So i searched throught the forums here and i haven't been able to find an answer to my question. I recently went to MEPS and i failed the hearing test twice on my left ear and i was told to keep away from loud sounds and retake in a couple of days. So those days i had earplugs in at all times. I went to MEPS i took the hearing test again but i couldnt tell if i was hearing the sounds or not so i would just press the button. I ended up getting a perfect score. Now my concern is if and when i go to reception and i end up failing again is that it? Sent home, no waiver or anything?

A little background info, ive almost never gone to the doctor except for the 4 years of high school sports physicals which didn't involve a hearing test. So i have no idea whats going on with my ears but i hear fine when i talk to people or watch television. I have gone to clubs occasionally but i doubt that would damage only my left ear that bad. Any feedback would be helpful, thank you.

I think it's best to talk to your Recruiter. I'm not even sure that a hearing test is given at the physical exam you get before shipping to BCT.

I'm not sure there's a hearing test at Reception, either. When I see my son I'll ask him. He went through in '04, a whole lot more current than me. I still think your Recruiter is your best source of info.

Thank you i appreciate it. I will also ask my recruiter, he just seems busy right now with all the high school grads signing and all. I just didn't want to bother him with questions at least not right now.

I went through about a year and a half ago and I did a hearing test at Reception.

Don't ask just because he's busy. His job is answering questions that you have(if the recruiter is worth his salt he won't just blow off your questions.)

I went through reception back in September. I had a hearing test.
