Enjoy your retirement! I sure do & now I'm even retired from my civilian job.

Things haven't only changed since we joined but within the last year & I expect it to continue changing. I use to be close with a bunch of Recruiters in Milwaukee but they've all moved on & now I'm out of the loop. I can't even help much with SpecOps advice because my son has been out of 3rd Batt, 75 Rangers for 5 years. He stayed in the Reserve but is starting to lose his Ranger contacts who probably wouldn't know too much about present day Option 40 & 18X contracts anyhow. My son & I are still somewhat involved with the Special Warfare Mentoring Program but it's run by a bunch of local Recon Marines & they know little about Army contracts. It's the pre-training we're mostly involved with. Our group also pulls security for our local air show & we secure the DZ for skydiving groups. It was The SEAL's Leapfrogs last year. I was a SEAL in my Navy days & those guys were in awe of a real live old time Frogman, lol.

Just keep getting them ready. When I got hurt on our small team years ago Special Ops were the ones to get us out of there. So keep getting them ready I told all the people joining that understand that is what they wanted but most become home sick and drop because of all the training from basic until completion of training. They could always submit for it later. Things have changed and saw a lot of good leadership leave. I really didn't enjoy recruiting, but I did like making an impact. I was in 3rd Army HQ's before recruiting and missed it. Guess we will see how we can help these young men and women now we are the old guys
