    thanks for sharing thease very nice photos.
    i have studied the pacific side of the world war 2 a little now that i have more free time.

    Even in the middle of WWII, we spent money on intricate printing for Christmas dinners - I can't say I'm too surprised...

    You're welcome! One thing I really hope will happen is for the family of one of the guys in my grandfather's unit - Norbert "Nibs" Hildebrand (sometimes referred to as Hilde) - to find my pics/posts. I have a bunch of photos of him, as well as some "naughty" stories I found in my grandfather's letters about him! Well, naughty for 1945 anyways...

    If the Hildebrands are out there - let me know!!!!
