Ranger School Now Accepting Women
Army Calling for Female Volunteers for Ranger School | Military.com
I posted this on another forum and some got offended by my remarks on the subject.
People think war is a sport and and feel is the right time to put women in front line combat jobs (which is happening) and now the elite schools which is currently open to men (e.g. Ranger, SF). Just wait and see when combat reverts to mass assaults on force on force.
I have seen women cause more of a detriment in combat due to not holding their own weight, pass STDs to male servicemembers (well Soldiers cannot go out to the ville like they did in 'Nam) and evacuated out of theatre due to pregnancy. All in the name of gender equality.
Nobody has been crying foul of Marine Corps boot camp to finally integrate or professional sports but this because a few claimed that are not afforded their "civil rights". Then like to make comparisons to other countries when it fits their views. In Germany, its legal to have a sex with a minor that is 14 (their age of consent); and I guess those liberal views should be ok in this country as well.
For pete's sake.
Also, the ludicrous view if a woman can kick a man's butt should then qualify her for combat is such a weak argument. Just because a Soldier is a Soldier, does not mean he can perform well as an infantryman. Even infantrymen themselves.
People need to use some common sense thinking instead of believing that we are not trying to "progress". Yea, talking on that subject of progress. I was in Korea in the 80s when I did not have to deal with a curfew but now in the 21st century, there is a curfew due to mass punishing servicemembers due to poor actions of the few.
