Personal news - MSG Glenn
Just to add a new post I'll update everyone on my mundane insignificant life.
My son got married to his long-time sweetheart Heather on 13 October. He's well on his way through the Milwaukee Police Academy & will graduate early January. His grades & scores are outstanding & well on his way to become Honor Graduate.
I'm still walking around armed 95% of the time. It'd be 100% but since I take my grandson to school I can't go armed according to state law & to get caught means a felony charge. There was a shooting late last week about a block & a half from my house. Four wounded, one killed. I'm guessing a drug deal gone wrong. I've noticed since the election that ammo costs have gone up some. Got some Speer Gold Dot HPs a month ago for $20 a box of 20. Now they're up to $25 at the same store. I also noticed that Federal Tactical HST has gone from $30 for a box of 50 to $35. Signs of things to come? I'd better stock up. I've got some Tupperware boxes that will hold my gun, ammo, magazines & cleaning supplies. I'm prepared to bury all that if new gun rules including handgun confiscation rears its ugly head. I won't have any trace of owning a handgun anywhere on my property. I'm negotiating for my old gun that I gave to my son, a Glock 23. He told me the other day that he won't have much use for it when he's sworn in because he'll have his issue M&P 40 & his Glock 21 .45 cal for off duty carry. He said he'd buy his bride a smaller 9MM when she gets her concealed carry license.
Had a good potluck meal at church yesterday as we celebrated Mission Sunday. Those Lutheran ladies sure can cook! lol.
I'm still in the process of training my Black Lab youngster. She's about a year & 4 months old now & very bright. We walk/run at the local State Forest daily & she's really good at tracking deer without any training at all. She can go a full mile at heel without trying to pull away. All the usual dog tricks like sit, shake paw, lay down were all trained to her the second day we had her last February. I reinforce several times a week & now she can also fetch & speak but "quiet" is a bit slow coming to her, lol. The whole routine is a good exercise for me & now I've started to run again, about 2-3 miles a day with my doc's blessing. It hardly hurts my back & I know enough to stop if it starts to bother me.
Well I guess I filled some space with useless chatter. Hopefully this site will get more activity but it's certainly slow now.
Anybody else have any personal news that nobody will more than likely won't care a hoot for? lol.
