    Default The Christmas Season

Well it's the time for Red Starbucks cups, Coca-Cola chugging Santa and rabid shoppers.

In all seriousness, what are you guys doing to prep for Christmas this year. I can't wait. It's a time for family and friends to come together.

My dad and myself are preparing by stocking Plenty of Great Lakes Christmas Ale.

    Christmas Ale

I recommend it for anyone in the States who can find it. Being in NE Ohio, it's all over the place haha

I'm also in the process of finishing an antique desk for my father's present. He's remodeling his office in a classic "1930s" theme and I hope he likes it.

So any good tales of beating the holiday shoppers? Don't get me started in how I was tricked into buying a pair of skinny jeans.

I can't wait for Christmas either. only 19 days until Holiday Block Leave. I am so needing a break from here, AIT is getting a little crazy lol. With being in the classroom everyday last week from 0830 to 2015 Then especially this weekend. I went to a couple hotel parties as a battle and some of my own battles from my own platoon ended up bringing in spice and tons of prescription drugs. I ended up leaving with a friend that didn't want to be around the drugs either and went to a deli nearby. While at the deli the party got raided by the cops. Then to top it off, last night during bed check a female on second floor swallowed a ton of pills trying to kill herself... Yep I can't wait to go home for a little while.

The plans so far for Christmas is going to Fort Campbell first though on the 17th to see a special friend. After there I'll be flying back to Mich to spend the rest of Exodus with my family. My cousin who is also Army will be home and I'm sure we'll be trading bct/ait stories at Christmas, that should be fun. I am still also considering going to NYC for New year's eve, I've always wanted to...

Sorry no good tales about shopping. Our black Friday was kinda lame here, no fights or anything :/ I'm just glad to get some civilian clothes to wear Instead of wearing a pt shirt or platoon shirt from bc everyday

'Spice' is bad news - although legal to sell and buy, its use by Soldiers is illegal under Army drug abuse policies - just like inhaling paint, glue, or Amyl Nitrate poppers. Stay away from it, please! I'm so glad you got away from that situation before the authorities came!

No worries there, I have zero tolerance for drugs. I always have and always will.
