Default Herman Cain - Your thoughts?

I like this guy! Granted, I'm a pretty dyed in the wool conservative, but this guy just seems like a straight shooter. The 9/9/9 tax plan is something I've championed for a long time, and a quote I read yesterday "I like my guns and my Bible!" just made me say "This guy is awesome" to my wife.

    Discuss.

Maybe I need to do a little more research on this but from what I have read so far on him, I dont like him as a candidate, if he runs against Obama, I'll have to vote Obama (again I need to research this a little more).

Tax reform is VERY long overdue - despite the people who trumpet 'this plan will increse taxes on the poor and middle class' - it will only do so if they continue their current idiotic plans of spending on all new items and throwing them out. Reduce and reuse - use it up, wear it out, or do without. This is how our grandparents got by - and what we need to go back to. Tax those who spend, not those who save. There are a couple of Republican candidates who are fiscally conservative - I pray that one of them is elected.

    Jesse Ventura for pres
TANKER - That dusty, crusty, grease-covered, dirty, sweaty, bright-eyed, fuzzie-faced,
    haircut-needing, beer-drinking, underrated, over-worked, underpaid,
oversexed, little shit, who can take a tank and do more battlefield damage in
ten minutes than a Grunt squad can do all day.

If you ain't Armor, you ain't shit.

Flavor of the week. He will shoot himself in the foot or another 21st Century lynching will happen. Obama is the last Teflon.

Under his plan anyone making about $50,000 will have their taxes double and anyone making $500,000 would have their taxes reduced by about $34,000 annually. Can't really save if you are spending your money on supporting your family and paying taxes.

I think his simplified approach to tax reform is going to come back at him.
I like the idea as it does away with the current slimy and unfair tax system in this country.
At the same time, it leaves itself open to increasing from 9-9-9 to 20-20-20.
What Cain - and all Republican candidates - should be calling for is the The Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI) to the United States Constitution allows the Congress to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on Census results. This amendment exempted income taxes from the constitutional requirements regarding direct taxes, after income taxes on rents, dividends, and interest were ruled to be direct taxes in Pollock v. Farmers' Loan & Trust Co. (1895). It was ratified on February 3, 1913.
The entire tax code needs to be reformed and get rid of the IRS
