    Question Need some feedback

I've written a novel about PTSD and wonder what the reaction is to this sales pitch:

Staff Sergeant Ray Daniels goes AWOL from the hospital and ends up in an all-night diner, not knowing where he is, unsure how he got there. An ex-Green Beret, Joe Redmond, sees the emptiness in Ray's eyes and recognizes shell shock. This starts a friendship in which Jpe, an Indian elder, helps a warrior heal unseen wounds.

Sounds realistic, MSG. I think it's a good pitch.

My brother-in-law has PTSD from his many deployments to Nam. Besides bad dreams the only outward indication is his extreme nervousness when fireworks are exploding nearby. He was in the USAF as Security Police & Intel & once was assigned to a Marine outpost where it was his job to secure the helo pad. They came under an NVA mortar & artillery attack that lasted over a week. I wonder why he isn't even worse than he is.

Probably because he didn't allow himself to be sucked into the so-called therapy of pills and needles.
