    It was a discussion at work, and someone googled it up, this thread popped up. I honestly didn't even see how old it was.

    The funny thing is I was just talking about this with a friend a week or so ago. I knew this had been discussed online but couldn't remember which site. I thought it was on one of the gun sites I go on occasionally.

    It's not the same rapping a mag on kevlar as it is on a steel pot (or a bare head, lol). Habits die hard - I still rap my semi-auto pistol mags before I insert them but just on the heel of my hand.
