    Default FRIES/SPIES training?

Any info? I can't find much about it online and the search function on here gives me an error ((when it's not redirecting me to overstock (dot) com)).

I've been waiting for a response to your post because I'm curious, too. I know absolutely nothing about it. I'd ask my son but I don't see him much since he's been working the 1900 - 0300 shift for the Milwaukee PD. He may have had some training when he was in the Ranger Regt. He's going to Ft. Lewis for 3 weeks leaving today so he'll be even further out of range.

    I found this on YouTube:

    Army SPIES Training - YouTube

There's more but I'm in a hurry & didn't go any further. I used Google with the term "SPIES training".

I was offered FRIES/SPIES training after I graduated air assault school and declined. That is the training when about 5 guys are dangling from a rope from a helicopter being flown away. It is a another hooah school that you can get at Campbell and it is less stressful than air assault. If your husband is being offered it; then I suggest he goes for it. I kind of regret of not taking advantage of the training when given the opportunity.

It is on a Fort Campbell website at http://www.campbell.army.mil/units/S...Pages/FSM.aspx

Another link. It is not terrifying if your husband already rappelled out of a helicopter and fast roped.
