tikka there is lots of running in any branch of the service. PT tests are as follows
    # of push ups in 2 min.
    # of sit ups in 2 min.
and a timed 2 mile run

the marines run 3 miles for their PT test

not sure which to pick really?
    they both have there perks.
also wat is the chances of inlisting in the army then after x amount of service transfering to the marines.
do you have to re sit psychometric testing?

Millitary Occupational Specialty, is the job that you would be doing in the Army if you go to www.goarmy.com they will have all the MOS's on there with descriptions of th ejob.

Hey I am in the army and there isn't a three mile run you might be thinking of the USMC. In the army the standards are as follows and keep in mind these are actually lower when you are preparing to ship out.

    42 push ups in 2:00
    52 sit ups in 2:00
2 mile run in 15:56 or less

and this is the 17 to 21 age group the older you are the lower the amount for each category.

To the otherside of England and back?

If you have to run more than a few miles it's all over anyway.
